She made landfall about 12:10 this morning. Brought lots of wind and rain. About22,000 (5%ish of all Jax) without power, we aren't part of that statistic. Power flickered quite a bit, though. All Memorial Day activities and Jazz Festival activities were cancelled. Bathtubs and kitchen sink filled with water, "just in case". Flashlights checked. Charcoal sitting by the door so we can still cook. Thank God nothing was needed!

On a lighter note, our SeaWorld trip went off without a hitch! Mommy was up from about 4 a.m. and did not get to sleep until after midnight. But, everyone had so much fun! My youngest daughter and her friend were inseparable! They looked at the map to "find their way" like Dora, sang "Baby" by Justin Bieber, and held hands the whole time :)

Well, time to go clean the house. A mother's work is never done.
