Today would have been my dads 76th birthday if he had not died 20 years ago from complications due to an inoperable brain tumor. I miss him still. he was a great person. One of those people who could talk to anyone, knew just about everyone and was a walking talking road map of the tri-state area.
Eugene Francis Palucci, brother of two sisters, father of 5, married 35 years, US Navy, volunteer fireman, Cub scout & Boy scout leader, coach for too many years to count for my 4 brothers baseball teams, Teamster, all around great guy.
They discovered a brain tumor and at the time it was inoperable. This was about 6 years before AOL and the Internet became accessible to most people. We had to rely solely on the doctor. I know if it happened today we would have had better options, a lot more information, he might not have died.
I wish he was here to meet my son, they would have loved each other. My dad now has 10 grand kids, he was so thrilled with my daughter Heather & my brothers daughter Shannon. He died 11 days after my brothers son Mark was born, he didn't get a chance to see the rest. He would have loved them all.
I still talk to him, I still miss him. The pain is not as sharp, but its still there.
This is my dad at my wedding 25 years ago:
Miss you dad, Love you, wish you were still here.
