After 10 days I have lost 4.2 lbs!!! Yaa me!!!
I have stayed within calorie count- on the low end for 5 days and mid high on 2 last week- and that is a challenge for me. I am addicted to sweets and have limited my sweet tooth to two sugar free hot chocolates to keep my calcium level up as well as give me the sensation of sugar. I have eaten out twice this week at a picnic and an Middle Eastern place and stayed in calories both times. I used sp guides to eating out and tried to fill most of my plate with salad without dressing- and just dipped the tongs of my fork in the dressing- I have really gotten to a point that I dislike salads ladden with dressing. At the mid eastern restaurant I forgot to order a side salad and it came out with fries- I used to not want to cause a commotion, but this time I apologized and told them I forgot to order the salad. They very nicely made the exchange. It was not as much a fuss as I expected.
I have done yoga classes- hot power 4 days last week of 1-1.5 hours long. I am not strong enough to keep up with everything, but by adapting exercises I have finished each class. I feel my body stretching out cramped muscles and I am calmer. Today I decided to go for a walk and I am concerned, but determined, as a lot of times that means I will not go if I get involved in other things. But today I am going to get up from here and walk early before I get involved or it gets to hot... And I plan to do 100 jumping jacks half way through and when I return home to get a bit of challenge to my exercise- if someone sees me jumping jacks and thinks it is odd...oh well... I probably don't know them anyway and if I do I will just smile and know I'm boosting my calorie burn.
So all an all- I am happy with the changes I have make- water, eating better, and some exercise have all come together produce not only a loss on the scale but a loss of 1.75 inches. Nothing to extreme and nothing to change over the next week of my challenge. Hopefully I will make slow and permanent changes this summer that I can sustain over the next school year.
