I went to the weight room in my apartment complex and there were some kids there fresh out of the pool dripping water on the exercise equipment. As they saw I was about to work out, they left. I got about 20 minutes into my walk and the girls came back. They were wet and got on the equipment again. They turned everything on and played around with the settings until they got bored with me ignoring them and left.
Well 30 minutes into my walk the treadmill went into safe mode, I guess it's because it needed to cool down. This destroyed my rhythm so I decided to walk over to the other treadmill. It was a little poorer quality than the one I was used to and seemed like it didn't have a high weight limit. I walked another ten minutes and gave up because I was frustrated and tired of all the people in the pool staring at me. I walked around a little outside, but went home because it was really hot.
For my next walk I'm just going to get up insanely early and hit the road. It's so much more pleasant walking on the street. Hopefully my daughter will decide to join me, but I think she likes to use the treadmill more. We'll see how it works out. Either way I plan to get another full hour of cardio in as soon as possible. Now my day doesn't go right if I don't get a good exercise session in. My daughter asked me what happened to the old days when we lazed around and watched tv and slept on the weekend I told her that those days are over for me and I'm determined to push myself as hard as possible to shed all these extra pounds.
I know that I can do it and I'm going to work as hard and as long as it takes to make it a reality. She thinks that I'm pushing myself too hard, and I probably am. I go workout every day and I should take at least a day to rest before I sabotage myself. Every waking moment I'm thinking of ways to keep moving. I just have so much energy and I don't feel good unless I am being productive. This is probably just a phase and I'll slow down. But for now I'm enjoying the increased energy and i'm getting a lot done.
