The man and I went out to our resort yesterday and had such a wonderful day. Although it was a bit chilly in the morning time, we enjoyed sitting by the pool. The jacuzzi was perfect for keeping warm and burning some calories. We did some walking in the sand and snacked all day. Even though I felt like I ate ALL DAY, I had about 1500 calories. Still being over my goal of 1200-1250, I wasn't doing too bad for a vacation day. We didnt take our laptops of phones (it was wonderful). We burned plenty of calories walking in the sand, playing in the water and sweating in the cuzzi! I drank plenty of water also. My daily intake to maintain my weight is 1894 calories... which is a positive way to look at my daily intake. I'm not in the gaining calories range at 1500!
We all need relaxing days like this. I expected to be WAY over my calories and I wasn't! Yippie! I managed to eat a well balanced diet throughout the day by packing lots of fresh, cut up fruit and not eating fast food. Watermelon is great to eat in the sun since it's really filling and hydrating. I have finally got the hang on this healthy eating deal! In addition, I burned tons of calories just from our daily activities that were enjoyable and relaxing. I feel like we are changing our lifestyle in good ways. I would like to thank my spark buddies for their support and blog feedback. It' really great to be able to interact at any time of the day with people that are focused on the same, difficult goals of weightloss. From the soy ideas, to fruit and cutting fast food, I am making healthy choices all day, even when I take a timeout from being in touch.
I would also like to encourage all my spark buddies to think positive like this. Focus on health when you take vacation. Furthermore, try and research and read accredited articles here on sparks about your curiosities and setbacks in regards to health. Wiether you are new to sparks or a long time tug boat, enlighten yourself about the science of health. Look up how calories are actually calculated, how salt and water effects your body, how fruits hydrated you, how green veggies help you burn fat and how horrible fast food can be. Read, read, read accredited articles everyday to be more productive in your weightloss program!
