For the last several months I have seemed to have lost my motivation. I truly feel that part of that is because I thought I would accomplish more while working a grave yard shift. I discovered that I don't like working out in the dark, not a bit!
I changed back to a day shift, took a week off work to adjust, and I thought I would be back on track. Nope.
One day I would ST with enthusiasm and the next 3 days I would give it a nod and then watch a bunch of shows online. The only exception is that if I am watching a show that has a good song that I will dance too. Oddly enough, if I am at work I will be very active and get in a lot of cardio.
Last weeks weigh in I went up to 154. The next day it was 155, which I didn't log. I log everything on Saturdays. This would normally be a wake up, but for some reason I played an ostrich and now I have hit 160.
I have decided that this is not worth stressing over. It happened and I have zero excuses as I can see the culprit in the mirror every morning. Today is my new day and I will be taking control again!!
The problem I experienced was blind eating. I never knew that this was a problem!! The food was my watermelon, seriously, this was the "extra food" that I was eating. I was astonished at how much I actually ate.
So I will be "portioning" out my watermelon and I have decided to cut back a little bit on my carbs.
My other main decision was picking a shift that allowed me to get up earlier and hit the work gym on Monday's and Tuesday's. I will make this a main goal instead of sleeping in when I don't need to be.
1. Get into work gym two day's a week.
2. Increase wall/desk push ups.
3. Start doing traditional sit ups and increase how many crunches I do in a session.
4. Get back to doing the sideways shuffle in work hallways.
5. More walking!!!!!
6. Continue to push myself with my ST.
For the last several months my main cardio was dancing (thanks Glee) and some walking in place. I also would walk the corridors at work. I need to get more walking done!
This is doable!
I am very motivated to get back on track!!!
New mini goal June 13th: Lose 5 lbs.
and have a wonderful day!!
