End of the Year Doom!
Sunday, May 27, 2012
As a teacher whose suppose to making better, healthier decisions, the end of the year celebrations can be summed up in one word: DOOM! I really appreciate working with a staff that I actually enjoy to be around and that like to celebrate (trust me not the case everywhere) donuts, cookies, beers and cake oh my! If I had to rate the end of the year for me, I would get it like a 6 out of 10. What was interesting about this year was that I was better prepared and was able to go to the gym everyday, rather than be really stressed out. I tried to stay away from too many sweets, but I overindulged on donuts that another teacher at bought to lure students to help her clean. I had really been doing well with sweets (they're are my kryptonite) and I got what I would describe as a sugar overload, it actually made me sick. It was a low moment and I really will look to that moment of sickness before overindulging ever again. I have also been thinking about the course of action for next year my motto is like the NFL playoffs rounds 1 and done. If I am "defeated" by indulging in a unhealthy food only one and then I am done.
