Two years ago today I joined the SP site. Today I call this my extended family.
YOU have been here for me through thick and thin (no pun intended). The most important thing I have learned: it is the journey not the destination that is truly important.
Replacing old habits with new ones is not easy. After all the old habits had many years to develop and the new ones only a couple, but putting these new habits in place has been enlightening. Although I could eye ball the food I put on my plate I still weigh and measure (still get surprised at just how many veggies are in a serving). My preferred drink is water...with every meal and than some. I need to exercise everyday (and track it). When I say I need to, I mean my mind and body will not let me sit still unless I have done some cardio. Have also added ST to the mix.
I have learned that when I slip and fall I can get back up right there, not having to wait until tomorrow or next Monday. And I know that SP friends will always be here for me as I am for them.
I haven't hit my long term weight goal (yet), but what I am taking away from this journey is far more important and valuable for a lifetime of healthy living. I look forward to being here for a long time, because we just don't give up on family. We stick together no matter what.
So today I will celebrate (may even have an extra piece of watermelon...unlike the old habit of a piece of cherry pie) and embrace this continuing journey of a healthier lifestyle.
Thanks for stopping by.....Hugs coming your way.
