good healthy choices!

Sunday, May 27, 2012

Today I made really good healthy choices. Hubby and I went to Dunkin Donuts and I got a nice large coffee with cream and NO sugar. Still was yummy and then got a ham cheese and egg biscuit. For Lunch/dinner we ordered Chinese food and I had very small portions for Lunch and very small portion for dinner. It was nice to know I didn't over eat cause it was yummy food and then feel super full. I ate enough to satisfy me where I wasn't hungry and stopped. Last but not least for Dessert, Hubby had really really sweet fatty Raspberry cheesecake that was loaded in sugar and fat. I decided to go the more healthy route and had a Weight Watchers Chocolate Raspberry cheesecake bar...which was only 110 calories and 5gs of sugar. emoticon

I've always had the smarts of whats good to eat, I have always been an over all healthy eater...but I had to many weak moments where I over ate cause of yummy food to where I was about to explode cause I was soo full and on top of that I rarely cared about making exercise as a priority,So eating healthy wasn't enough if I'm over eating and not active. Well, I'm more aware of how much I eat now so I don't over eat. Portions are a huge factor, and Now I'm very active. emoticon

It really feels good that I'm putting all my Knowledge to good use and not just wasting it. I've always been aware of how to have a healthy life and how to lose weight but I was to lazy to put forth the effort. Well, Nope....Lazy is not going to be a common factor in my life anymore. emoticon

Today I didn't have a full focus on exercise and calorie counting. I didn't force myself on a walk or worry about burning calories. I just made sure to have some time to get moving and not lay around the house. As for calories, I'm not going to always stress about calorie counting food wise,so today I just listened to my body and only ate when hungry and made sure I ate healthy and if I was eating wasn't as healthy as it should..I watched my portions. I think I did good. emoticon I did play with brawly chasing him around the house a lot today and play fetch and do lots of walking through out the day for shopping. So I'm pretty sure I some where at some point in the day met my Burned calories for the day. emoticon

Hope everyone is having an awesome weekend. emoticon

I think you've just planted your feet into your healthy lifestyle! It's great when you can put your knowlege to use and learn how to treat your body with respect. Keep to the moderation, healthier foods, exercise, and adding extra movement to your days and you'll find yourself getting healthier over time.

This reminds me of a wizard of oz moment - you've had the power all along but now you're ready to use it!

I agree... I think you did good too! emoticon Knowing how to track your diet and exercise is good to have the basics, but when you can incorporate it into your life and just get your exercise in with daily activity and learn to listen to your body to get the right nutrition, that's the best!

THOSE BARS SOUND GOOD I'LL HAVE TO TRY THEM. I KNOW NICK WAS EATING CHEEZITS WITH HIS CHEESEBURGERS WHILE I ATE SPECIAL K CRACKER CHIPS WITH MY CHICKEN BURGER WITH LAUGHING COW CHEESE SPREAD. IT WAS STILL YUMMY.
