The table of food on The Biggest Loser

Sunday, May 27, 2012

I know that the television show has been on for 13 seasons but I just watched my first two episode of The Biggest Loser. In the first episode the revealed a table of all the food that a contestant ate during the week.

If I was on the show there would be half a large pizza, Sweet and sour pork, fried rice, little debbie snacks, a large vat of hot chocolate. I know that it's a visual shock to the contestants and someone actually went up and ate a doughnut.

What my first response? Poison to the body! After eating the pizza, my mind has decided that any kind of process food is poison to the body. Candy, cakes, cookies, box rices, box pasta dinners, microwaved foods, fast food, delivered foods, potato salad, etc.

Hehe, I had to go peek at my tracker with a bit of curiosity about what my table would hold. Then I laughed. Mostly it is what my weekly shopping cart holds.

Now, if I had to see what I'd been eating before changing my habits, that would be eye-opening. Definitely hot chocolate (had a daily Tall from Starbucks) and donuts (daily two pastries), candy bars (two king size daily), several boxes of hamburger helper (I could eat half or all in a meal), many tuna melts, tuna casseroles with veggies, and quesadillas, salads, random veggies, lots of juice, and more chocolate milk than one person should have in a week. Probably enough food to provide for a family of three or four.
