Wednesday was our first ride pulling our 14 year old in her bike trailer and that was an experience. I took the first half and it was windy and I was biking into it. She was a bit agitated in the beginning so she was a rocking the trailer. We were going about 10 mph and went just over 5 miles before we stopped for a water break and to give her a drink and a switch. On the way back she was much better for the hubby (no rocking) and the wind was to his back, great!!! My HR was about 140-145 when I was pulling her and when I was not, dropped to 110. Same speed, just not pulling 100 pounds, what a difference. Next time we go out, I think we will make sure she has a McDonald's shake to work on the whole ride. That keeps her quiet.
Now to the dress. I got the dress in the mail today and was afraid to try it on and see how much work I needed to do. Well, IT FIT!!!! Actually the hubby said that it looks kinda big and it is kinda big in the top. So now I am not worried about it being too small. But there is still some work that can be done to get the dress to go from "looks good" to "OMG, you look smashing!!!" The booty and the hips gotta GO!! It is not as low in the back as the picture so some spanx will be ordered.
So my plan is to do some major strength. I have some great DVD's by Cathe to accomplish this. I started with her Slow and Heavy DVD today and it was legs and shoulders. I have chest and back tomorrow and Tri's and Bi's on Monday (over an hour each day). I have most of next week off of work so I will do the series again. I have been so inspired by Yoovie and the results that she has seen by concentrating so much on lifting. Hopefully this will work because all the years past I have concentrated on cardio.
Going to do some cardio next week but I will try to keep it as Grok as I can, meaning, NO high heart rates. 130-145 is my goal. Some easy walks and bike rides.
And then there is the MOUSE. I have 3 count them 3 cats in my house and what do I see out of the corner of my eye, a MOUSE!!!! It is in my living room and popped out from underneath an end table. It was just staring at me as I was calling one of my cats to get his butt off of the sofa and get to work (he just looked at me). So now there are 2 traps set up and hopefully it will be in one when the hubby gets up so HE can dispose of them.
Well, tomorrow after strength, I need to try and get my lawn (hay field) mowed. It is suppose to be hot and humid and stormy later in the day so I need to get my booty in gear right away.
Have a great rest of the weekend and thank a service man or woman.
