Sweating It Off

Saturday, May 26, 2012

At first the perspiration starting running down the side of my face. Some trickled into my ear and started tickling it, but I couldn't reach up to wipe it off. Then other places - my forehead, chin, top of my chest - it was dribbling everywhere. When it starting running down my nose, I was afraid it might drip onto my score. The worst was that some got into my eyes, making it difficult to see because of the salt.

Beethoven is better than Curves! emoticon

[My chorus performed in a major concert - Beethoven's Missa Solemnis - which involved standing for a good 80-90 minutes in an auditorium that was probably comfortable for the audience but not for the singers, who had a strenuous workout. The concert was Friday evening and Saturday afternoon, with non-stop rehearsals on Wednesday and Thursday evenings and Friday afternoon. I weigh 2-3 pounds less than a week ago!]

Thanks, Sheila! Yeah, they frown on chorus members eating on stage. emoticon In fact, we can't even carry water with us. The real challenge was wanting to reward myself for all the hard work when I got home. I kept focusing on the fruit!

    Keep it up!
All that time occupied by singing, rehearsing, etc., is time when the fridge-monster can't pull you into its clutches - what are you going to find to occupy that time or fend off the monster?
That weight loss is a good kick start :)
