Weird foot pain, any advice???

Saturday, May 26, 2012

Been doing well, going to the gym regularly. But I've been quite pained in a strange area: the inside tops of both feet, close to my ankle, and only when my foot flexes up (pointing my toes causes no pain). After a duration of walking the pain subsides, but comes back with a vengence after the exercise. I've been doing hour-long brisk walks with very minimal light jogging (usually about 4-5mph on the treadmill). Does anyone have any suggestions as to a stretch or something to reduce, and hopefully eliminate, the pain? Did an ice pack for a while after working out, but no relief. Have tried doing circles with my feet. Never had a soreness in tops of my feet after working out...

I thought about the plantar fasciitis, my mother has that and she thinks I do too, but I thought that mostly affected the bottoms of your feet...I'll have to do some research. And maybe some new shoes too, I have had these since last fall, but I wear them to work all day long too. Thanks!! I hope you all find some relief too!!

I am having similar troubles, though mine is on the outside top of my foot. If I pull my toes back it'll make me almost cry. And exercising normally makes it ease up some but then just basic walking around the house it starts hurting again. My doc thinks it could be either part of my planter faciitis, part of my RA, or a pulled muscle/tendon or a combination of all of them. I also heard if you are low on calcium your feet will hurt(have no clue if it's true though).

I've just been pulling my toes back to flex my foot more often to try to stretch it out.

Had the same thing, and it also felt like my ankle on the inside was involved. For me it's shoes. Usually broke in ones. But had a new pair start up almost right away.
