The one thing I love about strength training is that it is so easy to see progress. When you move up (or in my gyms case, down) the weights you know that you are getting stronger and making progress. The progress is also faster than something like running. I find I can up my weights once every 2 weeks! I don't do it all at once, because that would be too much, but I will go heavier on 1-2 moves at a time.
Last night I upped my weights for a couple of things, and I was reflecting on how far I have come since I first started lifting weights. I'm most proud of:
Chest Press: Start - 2x3kg Now - 2x9kg
Skull crushers: Start - 5kg bar Now - 12.5kg - When I started I could barely do 5 with a 5kg bar. Last night I did 2 sets of 10.
I love my strength training days, and I love how strong I am getting!
