I got a few plants put in this week, too! Only, ever since having a dog around.....we don't have a big veggie garden anymore. I do container gardening. For the last few years, I started to claim part of the yard back (from my dog ) and planting perennials that I can see out my kitchen window. The dog used to trample everything, so I resorted to clever strategies....like getting wire tomato cages to put over the coneflowers (just so she wouldn't be able to stomp on them! This year, I have a new puppy.....and so far so good with the perennial garden. Altho, she tends to like to "help" me when I'm out there.....has bit off the branches with flower buds on them....things like that! ARG ! She's done that twice so far. Lil bugger. She can't help it. She just gets excited.
Have a great weekend. I am on the schedule for a tour every night this weekend., but I would be surprised if we go enough reservations for every night. People's minds are just on other things.
