Well...here we sit on the cusp of Memorial Day. First, as a long-ago Army brat, my hat is off to all veterans and their families; thank you for your service!
I haven't blogged in a while, (ever wonder what a "blog" looks like? Mine is round and fuzzy, sort of like a Star Trek tribble, ha ha). OK, got off track there for a moment...
I got to thinking about "Lose 5 Pounds 28 Times." Maybe our minds play tricks on us but saying that sounds a lot more "do-able" than "I need to lose 140 pounds."
I don't have to be a rabid fanatic and get all these pounds off by next Friday at noon. I can turtle my way through this weight loss journey. I'm going to pack my shell full of nutritious foods, good ideas, positive thoughts and energy, and some slowness to savor where I'm going and how I got there. I'm going to discard all the crazy diet advice I grew up with. I'm going to listen to what my body wants and needs.
So off I go on my little green shell journey. Oh look! watermelon!
