The first thing that I did when I got up this morning was step on the scales to see the magic numbers. Today was my day-- I lost a pound, the first pound in a long time. One pound is better than no pound. I don't have to lose every week but as long as I lose that's fine with me.
I started keeping a record of my measurements and I am getting smaller and that helps a lot. Another thing that helps me deal with the numbers on the scales not moving in a downward motion is that my once snug but not tight clothing is started to hang loosely on my body. I have noticed that my waist is now a few inches lower than it once was. In other words my skirt now rests loosely on my hips. I can now grab a couple of handfuls of skirt fabric on each side. These are all positive signs.
I will continue doing as I was doing since it seems to be working. I will continue walking, eating healthier, TRYING to get more sleep until I can get up to 8 hours and strength training. Whatever it takes, I will do it----even loving myself more each day.
