Almost last day on Maui

Thursday, May 24, 2012

We've spend a week on Maui and had a unbelievable week. The best part for me was being able to exercise, eat well, sleep well sorta', and relax. Hiked all days except for today and saw beautiful scenery. Now I know I can do it! I have one more week of vacation which we'll be heading to Kauai tomorrow so I can continue this healthy adventure. The problem is when I go back home and the reality of work - double shifts and life stuff sets in. How to maintain eating well emoticon The exercise I'm good at. It's the eating. Often at work there are many temptations. How do I avoid, resist and absolutely stay on track emoticon I have one more week to develop a plan and I will. I want to continue eating well and exercising. It's a great lifestyle with so many rewards. Thanks for lending an ear and wishing you all a wonderful blessed day... emoticon

Maui - sounds absolutely wonderful; I hope to get there one day!

I agree with Blue42Down's suggestions, and would also say that if you set your mind to make a plan and stick with it, you will. Every time you're tempted, exercise that resistance muscle one more time, and eventually it will get easier and easier until you're no longer tempted because the results you see are so fantastic. If other people can do it, you can too!

One of the real keys to resisting the temptations at work is to make sure you have stronger, healthier temptations already there. That doesn't just have to be healthy snacks either. It can be motivational things - little reminders that are easy to see when you're tempted that bring to mind the reasons you're doing this, the much greater benefits of sticking to plan.

Have a most wonderful remaining time on vacation.

Sounds like you are in paradise! Enjoy it right now and worry about real life later! Don't let it weigh on your mind! You'll deal with it later someway somehow. Another week left! Wow! Enjoy! Enjoy! Enjoy!
