Just like everything else, our thoughts have the power to control everything: how we feel, how much we eat, whether or not we exercise or choose healthy food. Having lost a lot of weight, now I am on the mind side of things, where I am concerned about changing my eating habits, and not thinking about my weight as much as the quality of my life. I promised myself that if I was given the gift of the surgery I would do things differently and that's where I am now. I can pretty much eat what I want, though quantities are limited. I have CHOSEN to eat healthier, I have CHOSEN to exercise everyday. I have CHOSEN to adopt meditation via the Gabriel Method, and EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique--also known as "Tapping" to help me change my thinking from a "fat" person to a healthy, vibrant, kind, joyful person with no limiting thoughts and behaviors. My continued weight loss, fitness, and joy start in my mind--so that's where I have been investing my energies, maybe I should have started there.
