Yeah, it's been another one of THOSE weeks... so busy. So ridiculously busy. And seriously burning out. Glad that we have a three-day weekend coming up, because I seriously need it. What was I thinking, trying to do a show and have a wedding at the same time?!?!
Anyway - even in spite of a really rigorous bellydance lesson last night and not much in the way of sleep, I got up - early! - and did Plyometrics. The first five minutes was kind of rough, but once I got into it, I think I pretty much crushed it!
So it's Day 58, and I am really starting to see some serious changes now. A lot of the other folks who use P90X said that the very dramatic changes don't happen until at least halfway through the program, and I'm starting to believe them. My once-doughy legs are now starting to show definition; my saddlebags are all but gone. Everything is firmer, leaner, more toned. And the cellulite on my legs? Hardly noticable anymore! Hallelujah! I think that most of whatever is still hanging on my butt and thighs may be loose skin... which *sigh* can't do much for that, except work out and really try to develop some good muscle under there to minimize the look. I get to take my 60-day progress pictures this weekend! Stay tuned for that. :)
But apart from how I look... I seriously feel the best I've ever felt in my entire life. I am strong and flexible, and it has improved the things I love to do: dancing, playing with the dog, building sets at the theatre, gardening - pretty much everything is so much BETTER.
I was a fool to wait as long as I did to do this... and after some false starts, it took me a while to find my groove, but I'm here, I've found it. I have learned the formula for what works for ME (we're all different), and I am armed with the knowledge of what to do if I need to adjust my formula. It's empowering to be in control.
