Isn't there a saying , "Lord it pays to be humble""---?
I thought of it last night, as I watched Phillip Phillips win American Idol-
If you follow it, Jessica , a sweet little girl, with a ton of confidence, who can belt out a song beautifully---was his advisary-
I thought she would win the thing--"She " thought she would win the thing--or, that's how it seemed to me--She was an amazing talent.
So is Phillip Phillips--amazing I mean----but--in a different way-His songs were songs we knew with his own twist on them--His performances were unique--He looked so happy and in his own world, while singing--And he seemed so humble--When asked last night to say something before they revealed the winner, he built up his competition-Jessica--
He just appears to be a very nice lad----truly appreciative of the award---couldn't sing for crying-hugged his family after---
And I am an old Lady---with many kids of my own---but I felt I could sit right down in my kitchen and make Phillip Phillips a sandwich and he would be kind and respectful of me--
Maybe America saw the same in him----He is one of us----just a guy who enjoys playing his guitar--
But---right now--a gal has to get this day moving----another day without rain it seems----I'm off to the city to take husband for an eye check-up--with 2 Germans breathing down my neck--
Sounds like fun eh??
Hang in there oh humble Sparklers!
