A List of the Positives From This Week

Part of my weight loss plan is to come up with weekly non-weight loss related goals that are good for my health.

This week's goal is to find something positive in every day and blog about it, so here we go:

WEDNESDAY (5/23/12): Friends & Family - Sometimes I take for granted how lucky I am to have such a wonderful boyfriend, parents, brother and friends. Especially now in this difficult time it is nice to know that they are there by my side supporting me all the way! This is definitely a great positive!

THURSDAY (5/24/12): Beautiful Location - Today I am so happy I took a moment to look at the sunset and realize how gorgeous the Arizona dessert is. This is one of the reasons why I love living here! Absolutely gorgeous.

FRIDAY (5/25/12): Health - It is wonderful to be in such great health and that honestly my only concern is loosing some extra pounds. I am so grateful to not suffer from hypertension, diabetes, or hypercholesterolemia. It is also nice to know the steps I am taking now prevent me from getting these diseases in the future.

SATURDAY (5/26/12): Knowledge - Sometimes I get down thinking about the amount I have had to give to be where I am today (both money and time, be a medical student isn't cheap!), but today I have realized that it is all worth it in the end. The knowledge I am gaining is truly priceless!

SUNDAY (5/27/12): Inspiration & Determination: I am so happy that I have the inspiration to dream and the determination to make those dreams come true. This quote says it perfectly..."There is no telling how many miles you will have to run while chasing a dream" - Unknown.

MONDAY: (5/28/12): Willpower - Today is a day for embracing willpower! I have lost another 2.2lbs this past week which is above and beyond the goals I am setting for myself. It feels so great to have finally found this willpower deep inside and to keep it going for so long. Today I am celebrating making it half way to my goal weight!
