When I set my goal of being down 12.5 pounds by June 1st, I didn't expect this month to turn out as hectic as it did. I still have a week to go for May to be over, but I'm ready to see the end of it. I have spent pretty much all month running here and there for various medical appointments (mine and hubbys), medical tests (mine), surgery (hubbys), appointments for the dogs (one dog has a broke leg so she's been going into the vet weekly, some of our dogs were due for shots) and my daughter's school stuff.
Today was no different. I had to take 3 dogs to the vet for shot, an adventure in itself. I hadn't been home half an hour and my husband called asking me to fix his lunch because he was coming by the house. Less than an hour later, he called again and said he was locked out of his car and would I please bring him a key. Mind you, he was on a job site an hour away. By the time I got there and drove back, it was time to pick up my daughter from school. Then it was off to Walmart to pick up a few necessities. I'm finally home, but after running around and spending part of the day in the car, all I want to do is crawl in bed and pull the covers over my head for a bit.
Needless to say, my diet and exercise plan didn't go well this month. I was eating fast food or skipping meals altogether because I was on the go so much. There were also a couple days I had to fast for medical tests. Between the rain and being tired from going so much, I got very little walking in.
Since I did lose a couple pounds despite everything, I'm not going to beat myself up. I am, however, revising my goal to end on the 30th of June instead of the 1st. With a few extra weeks to make up for the crappy ones this month, I should be able to reach my first mini-goal and give myself a nice birthday present, a lower number on the scale.
