I'm disappointed today because I didn't think I could walk on my hurt foot and I took the day off from walking. I tried to bike, but there are so many hills around here that I found myself coasting most of the time. The hills were so difficult to get up I had to walk the bike, so I stopped. I don't know how long to take off. I should for a few days, I think. That depresses me even though I don't like exercising. I need to remember to warm up adequately and stretch before my walks to help avoid more injuries and lost time. Valuable lesson learned at a price. emoticon

Phyllis gave you some good advice. One thing I might mention is- don't beat yourself up. It doesn't help- just makes things worse. Let yourself mend, begin again, and take the proper preparations. Think of it as a learning experience- a "positive", rather than a negative. Part of getting healthy is learning to see things in a more positive way so this can be part of that. A "double" lesson. :)

Yep, warm up and cool down stretch and dress appropriately, hydrate, eat before We all know it but tend to take shortcuts. I have paid dearly for my shortcuts, so I can relate to you.
Take off time until your pain is gone, do gentle exercise until then. If you rest properly, you'll heal faster! emoticon
