Alright, first blog post! Woohoo!
You know what's really nifty, besides blogs? Glucometers! That sounds ridiculous, but it's true. Yesterday, my doctor gave me a new glucometer that I've never seen before. It's a Bayer Contour USB. This thing literally plugs into your computer like an oversized thumb drive, and it has programmed software that downloads your blood sugar reaedings so you can track them and print out records! I rushed home, ripped open the package, turned on my new glucometer, aaaaaaaand...
"HELLO! Before using Beyer's Contour USB meter, you must charge the meter battery with the included wall charger or by plugging it into a USB port on your computer. See User Guide for details."
Well, that was anticlimatic.
Anyway, I plugged it into my computer last night and let it charge, which only took-an hour?- but it was really cool to try it out this morning for my waking number (254...oops). I've never actually been particularly excited about a new glucometer, but hey, thanks Bayer. For once, I can actually appreciate technology. Yay! So, in honor of this minutely momentous occasion, I wrote a haiku:
Stupid blood sugar...
*Recieves new glucometer*
Well, this is nifty :D
