Believe it or not, I have never had a smoothie until this evening. I saw a recipe here and since it looked so simple, I decided to get out my blender and give it a whirl (pun intended)!
Here's the way I made the recipe:
1 cup halved strawberries
1/2 large banana, sliced
1 6-ounce container of vanilla yogurt (80-90 calories)
2/3 cup 1% milk (recipe called for skim, but I used what I had)
Put ingredients in blender and puree until smooth. It is quite thick, so you can add milk as desired. Makes about 3 cups of decadent deliciousness!
The recipe said to use your choice of berries, but next time, I'm going to try pineapple instead of the strawberries!
