Last Monday I started the last week of Stage 2 of NROL. The week before, I did squat presses with 27lbs and it was really tough so I thought I'd stay at that weight on Monday. I thought I'd do a warm-up set of 22lbs. I put the weights on and lifted them, and holy cow, it was difficult! I finished the warm-up set and realized I wouldn't be able to do anything heavier. Feeling defeated, I did my 2 sets with what I thought was 22lbs.
The rest of my workout was disastrous. I was tired and felt defeated, so I had a hard time concentrating. I felt terrible the rest of the day and it affected my entire week! I didn't want a repeat experience, so I decided to take the rest of the week off.
Today, I wanted a new start! I resolved to get a good workout in no matter what! I went to my basement to start the squat-press again, and looking at my weights, I realized I lifted 32lbs last week, not 22lbs! No wonder it tired me out for the rest of the workout!
Don't let one setback ruin your whole week!
I'm determined to exercise every day for one week, even if it's just taking a walk or doing some jumping jacks or push-ups. I'm also going to concentrate on making good food choices!
