Unpacking the barn... cats observing

Tuesday, May 22, 2012

When I moved two years ago, I had a huge inside yard sale at my old home, but still moved many boxes of things here. Since we are finished at last with my little kitchen, I got to bring in some items like an electric griddle, that I have been missing for a long time. I moved as fast as I could to get my exercise minutes, well, as fast as one can move boxes with five curious cats underfoot.

Everything I do seems to be one big adventure to them.

I have not brought all the kitchen items inside yet, and as I go, I am sorting things out for yet another yard sale I may have this autumn. We really do need far less things than we accumulate. A lot like extra weight: I just don't need it!

Sparkpeople reminds me to move faster and go for the burn.
And I am jealous of my fit kitty cats! I want to move like them.

I would love to move like fit kitty cats. My cats, OTOH, are fat and lazy and would prefer that I set the food bowl next to their faces as opposed to having to get up and walk across the room to eat. So yes, move like a fit cat: totally want. Sounds like a good project you're taking on, though, the process of clearing out things.

Accumulation is a weird human compulsion, I tell you what.
