2 Corinthians 10:4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; ..K.J.V. Why is it important to obey the Lord instantly.? He is God. We are not! He is Creator. It may save us from trouble or sudden death or eternal loss.

My Dad once told me the story of his Dad. His Dad was a small boy and lived in the country. He had been taught instant obedience. Not the I will count to three kind. One day as the small boy (My Grandpa) went outside to play his Mother called out from the door. "Come inside now." He did! He did not ask why? He did not hesitate. A Mountain Lion was in the tree close to the boy. He may have been killed or maimed for life. Yet! He did as taught and obeyed instantly. Two people I know have said if only I had obeyed the accident would not have happened. One felt she should stay longer at Church and visit. Felt it strongly. Yet! Her reason overcame that still small knowing voice that was prompting her to stay a little longer. If she had she would not have faced disability, pain, and loss of her money on Doctors and surgeries. The other felt she much pull off the road but could not by reason seeing any befit. Yet! She felt it so strong and even got a severe headache but refused to obey that strong feeling and knowing of what she should have done. Her love one died in that accident and she herself had live lone injury with much pain for the rest of her life. Plus for years she could not forgive herself for not obeying the Lord. for she now was sure it was He who tried to save them from all this pain and loss. why live with pain, loss and regret; for now is the time to listen to the Lord, obey without delay.

It is so true we don't respond immediately to those nudges we get and regret it later.

It would be great to have the kind of obedience your grandpa had.

There are times we get promptings from God. We do have to pay attention since we will regret it if we don't!
