1st Body Wrap in Years

Tuesday, May 22, 2012

So went on Saturday and got my Mothers Day body wrap done. The technician was very sweet and did not make me feel self conscious at all. It wasn't the body wrap i am used to though. Usually you get wrapped in basically ace bandages that are soaked in whatever treatment you want and it helps you detox and shrink inches. But at this spa you get exfoliated and then slathered with the treatment. I got green coffee for skin tightening and shrinkage. Then i was wrapped in plastic and in a heating cocoon. But the minute i was wrapped the coffee started to tingle. It was cool. After the treatment you get to take a deluxe shower in this shower with like ten sprayers. I felt awesome after. But the weird part was that normally you can wear a bathing suit or a bra and panties when you get a wrap. But not here. I guess because the process is so messy they prefer you naked and just have towels to cover you. Ugh why do i keep finding these places. It like God is trying to force me to deal with my body image issues during this journey.

Well i am trying had to learn to love myself. And see the positives in my body. I have struggled with that my whole life.

And i did see some benefit to the wrap. I felt great, my skin felt awesome. And i was able to slip on my leggings with ease. Usually i have to kinda shimmy them up. Well worth the awkwardness.

sounds awkward. but you got the towels covering you the whole time right? if so, then yeh, you'll get used to it eventually.

sounds like a nice wrap. did it do anything that you could tell?

Hmmmm....sounds interesting! And maybe it IS a subliminal message, or whatever you want to call it, point out how important it is to accept ourselves and fashion positive thoughts about our bodies!
