My Blog would be almost a repeat of yesterday. I cannot do that, I caught up with friends instead.

I used the time I would have used simply duplicating my BLOG efforts of yesterday.
I was beginning to stress over not acknowledging my Spark friends so instead of the Blog I did the right thing and I have tried to get to my wonderful friends.
We did have to take the minivan to be fixed. We needed to get some groceries.
I had another dental appointment to check out the healing. Its going much better than I or the dentist had hoped for. emoticon

After the dentist I got a call from garage and they were not on the same page as us. The service manager diagnosed the problem. The mechanic changed it.
I went over to pick it up. DH went inside to pay. I switched on the engine and it was just the same as before. I went rushing in and told DH the vehicle stays here till tomorrow, have the service manager call me to discuss this annoying turn of events.
My dentist was right across the street. I asked DH to go across the road and ask what was going on he did not go.
I called and asked for service manager they paged him and he was not available.
Then I did more yard work and shopping. They called my cell phone at 5pm, closing time but said pick up vehicle and pay the sales people.
Tomorrow they will not be very happy to hear what I have to say about this turn of events.
HUGS Pat in Maine. I hope I win this battle though DH says just pay it- NO way without putting my case before them.

    I always demand all the old parts, one time had to mention prosecuting attorney and state rep, Better Business Bureau and local newspaper.. no hassles after that..
BTW, you are a woman, and older, you will be taken advantage of if not forceful..

    All I've been doing lately is catching up with friends occasionally. Something had to go, and it was my blogs.

Stick to your guns with the mechanics. I have had a lot of them over the years assume that because I'm a woman, they can run over me. They are so wrong. Looks like more of them would have learned by now that they do NOT want to aggravate a gutsy woman.

    I do not blame you at all! When I had problems with my prior mini-van they didn't listen to me! I kept telling them it had to be the belt and tensioner!!! Of couirse, I was dismissed. Well, when the van died and had to be towed, I let 'em have it! The result? Hmmmm...seems the belt and tensioner needed to be replaced. GRRRRR. And it was on them. I wish you luck and applaud your persistence.

    Some times one wonders if the left hand knows what the right hand is doing. Do stand your ground.

Joshua (our soldier boy) took his car into the shop in Hawaii for some repairs. Now while he knew it was not going to be a cheap venture, he no way was expecting almost a $1.000. bill. He told the guy there was no way he was going to pay that. They worked it out and he walked away with some $$ left in his bank account.

    I'd be scared if I were those mechanics!! Don't let them take advantage of you, stand your ground!

Glad you caught up with friends...that's always fun to do, but yes, can be time consuming, I know!

    So glad you were able to catch up with friends! Go get that service manager--that is annoying to be treated like that. Sorry to say it's not uncommon!
