Today was day two of the Hoopnotica training. Since Jen is more of a hoopdancer than a fitness hooper, she did most of the training. We spent most of the morning going through every move in the level 1 curriculum. After lunch, we went over the book which really wound up being about business and getting your name out there as a hoop teacher. It was SO enlightening. I wound up buying the level 4 Hoopnotica DVD and the minis DVD. I couldn't help myself. Evidently I was doing my floats wrong. Lol. And I am probably doing my scoop lift wrong, too. It was so much fun! I really do recommend an in person training if you can. Also there were things I learned in the Hoopnotica curriculum that I didn't even know from the BodyHoops curriculum. I was flabbergasted and it really helped me realize what I was missing in my teaching. Also it was inspiring to meet Jen Moore, the lady that lost 150 pounds through hooping.
I've realized I will have to practice my Hoopnotica Fit class on my own. Maybe in a few weeks, I can find a guinea pig to do it on! I'm also working on a class proposal for Anytime Fitness in Nicholasville. If anyone in my area wants to be a guinea pig, holla at your girl! Last night being Saturday night, I basically taught a 2.5 hour private class to a girl cause no one came to the hoop jam.
Also, I'm hoping that this week, I can lose 2-3 more pounds this week. Okay, I know technically that is insane in the membrane but I'm soooo close. Or I was this morning. When I woke up from my nap, I was up a pound. But that'd be SO awesome if I could. If not, I think it will come next week!
