Wow, what a week! One week down on C25K & still standing! LOL! I've been tracking my points/nutrition again, as well. Joining the SP community has been a HUGE motivator for me. So far, this community is everything I was searching for & more! Reading the countless, extraordinary transformations of my new SP friends has "re-sparked" my desire for living a healthy & fit lifestyle. The positive energy around here is contagious!
I believe that you become the people you hang around. So, as I make this lifestyle shift, I am making it a priority to surround myself with uplifting people. My first step was joining SP! YAY! The immediate support I've received is nothing short of incredible. I'm a bit sad though, because I realized that people close to me & speak to everyday ("friends"/ siblings) aren't nearly as supportive or have even tried to discourage me. Well, as the saying goes, eagles don't fly with crows...
I look forward to the 2nd week of C25K training. I never thought I would like running as much as I do! I've definitely started something GREAT! And logging on to SP has become as natural as checking my email, but more FUN!
My 3rd grade music teacher has always said, "You can't learn the whole music piece with one lesson." So true. In the past, I used to be all or nothing about everything I did. But now, even though I have a ways to go, I am going to enjoy & appreciate whatever steps I take to get to my goal - the good, the bad AND the ugly. The only person I'm comparing myself to is the person I was yesterday. This week's goal is to fine-tune my nutrition by adding more fruits & vegetables, drinking more water, & running a bit farther.
