Yesterday I ran to Harris Teeter for their triple coupon events and did pretty well. It seems almost every time I go there though something goes wrong, such as a coupon not doubling/tripling correctly, a coupon not being scanned, an electronic coupon not deducting although I bought the product indicated, a price is wrong, etc. I will say though that they almost always rectify the situation although it does take up more time at the store to do that. The manager was beyond great yesterday as she took me into her office and we went through every single coupon, tripled them, and she saw that I was indeed short-changed on them.
I was rushed yesterday because I had to get back home in time to eat lunch and then rush out for my daughter's piano recital. I literally ate in the car while my husband drove us there.
She of course did fantastic (she had to play 4 songs) and I know I'm her mother and every mother would say this, but I am the type of person who is very honest about things and she honestly did beyond great (and the best out of all the 9 performers although I applaud them as well). I'm honestly not saying that just because I'm her mother.
We decided to go look at a few dealerships while we were out and looked inside a Toyota Sienna van (the 2012 model) and my husband really liked it although we both didn't care for the 2011 model last year when we were looking. So far it's looking like we're heading towards that particular car, but of course that could change.
Last year I had my heart set on a Honda Odyssey if we were having to purchase a new car, but this year my first thought when I saw the 2012 model was that it looked like a hearse. No offense to anyone who has the new model as it is very impressive from what I could see of the inside (we looked through the windows) but what's up with the new style?
We had fun looking at the vans anyway and talking about colors with each other, etc.
