Starting afresh

Sunday, May 20, 2012

I have gained back almost all the weight I lost over the last few weeks. I gained 2.2lbs since yesterday morning. I've had a couple binges involving pizza and my inability to eat a regular portion.

So, yeah...I haven't been tracking well this week. My water intake has sucked and I have been eating foods that I worked really hard to keep to "treats"--now they are just "breakfasts."

I'm not giving up though.

I'm making my goal a little more realistic, and I'm going to go back to doing it slowly because that was working!

Goals:
1. track all food EVERY DAY
2. Blog every two days to stay accountable
3. Eat fruit and veg every day
4. Get to a size 10

Goal number 4 is roughly the equivalent of losing about 10 more pounds, and goal 3 is basically my way of making up for the fact that I don't take vitamins.

As an aside I fell down our stairs (again) last night. This was the worst fall I have had down these particular stairs and I'm still pretty sore this morning--I (luckily!) fell backwards, but tried to brace my fall with one arm and held on to the handrail with the other hand so both shoulders feel like something is torn. Typing hurts! I also jarred my head and neck and the fall triggered a sort of reflux reaction so my chest and esophagus were sore too. My husband gave me the concussion test (he's a nurse in training) and despite my instant migraine, I probably don't have a concussion, but I am just sore all over. I have a spa day tomorrow that includes a massage and I really wanted my shoulders worked on but I am afraid that might compound the damage :( I'm planning a slow work day with very little arm movement :)

Glad to be back on track!

Ouch, that sounds really painful. The worst kind of fall is one where you "almonst" catch yourself -- it's like your body tenses all the muscles just before impact. I hope that you're loosening up some now.

I'm with you on the one-handed typing -- it really stinks! I had surgery on my left thumb a week ago, and I'm wearing a hard cast almost up to my elbow for another 2 - 5 weeks. It's the little things that drive me crazy, like opening a zip-loc baggie, or fastening snaps, or tying my own shoes. (sigh)

You wil get there with your goals. Just don't give up!
