movement on May goals - not all good

I am way past my goal of 1600 minutes this month with 10 days to go..1845. Real happy, and hoping that the exercise is a reason for no gout attacks in exactly 2 months. Certainly, so gout attacks is a reason for all the

My other goal seemed simple. I just lose 4 lbs in 4 weeks, get down to 215. This was the weight I was at 20 years old, and in 9th grade also. Problem is, my brother and I ate non-sanctioned meals for about a week. Saturday, I ate perfectly, and while not binging every day, I had off-plan snacks, and meals almost every day last week. So my brother who was 331, after a bunch of meals, including another 4th meal at Taco Bell Friday night, weighs in at 331 today.. meanwhile I gained 15 lbs, to weigh 234 Saturday morning. I am down to 231 right now. So I have decide to keep doing my walking, and re-started doing 2 exercises a day with body weight, and resistance bands.

Day 1 = biceps, and calves on the stairs
Day 2 = abs, and free weight squats
Day 3 = pushups, and laterals for my delts.

I figure I can do back when I lose another 30, and can do chin-ups. I just am hoping to maintain a bit of muscle, and burn a few extra calories. As far as diet, I am going very low carb to break my cravings, and avoiding meals with my

    Russell, do you think it's a motivational issue? I mean, you're much healthier than you've been in the recent past, you take less meds, you feel better in general. Since you've already come so far, do you think that subconsciously you're telling yourself that 215-220 is kinda good enough? And I don't mean that critically, either. Maybe for the time being it IS good enough. Maybe you're not really motivated to move lower because you actually need to spend some time consolidating your current position?

Sounds good, I always liked this expression, this is a journey not a destination, its a lifestyle, so sometimes theres peaks and valleys, hopefully the peaks outweigh the valleys. I think overall you have done amazing!!! I had to except for me that i don't like logging my food, or exercising always so sometimes i slip up but my good days far outweigh my bad, so im happy with that.
We are all a work in progress, and i am doing low carb now too i feel alot better, but i haven't yet figured out exactly how many carbs yet ive been doing around 100 and a little lower, but not much. Im tweaking it here and there and see what happens im new to this so, but i beleive in it. Better then a second half of life with complications. Anyway have a great day today, your plan sounds good!

    My motto is you never fail. You only learn or succeed. Looks like a lot of lessons were learned in the last couple of weeks for you. Great job!! Count that as a victory!

Your brother reminds me of my sister. She works as a manager at a McDonald's so her hours are strange. She'll come in at all hours of the night with fast food and she eats food from work as her meal when she's at work, instead of bringing her own. She stays the same weight. If I dared to have ONE fast food burger I would probably swell up 2 pounds from the sodium alone! Not that I'm even tempted, but it can be frustrating being near someone (My sister lives with me) that can eat like that and stay the same weight.
