This is what we did over several days...long days.

Sunday, May 20, 2012

We prepped the deck. We stained the deck. It took two of us more than 42 hours to accomplish. The rains have held off. No fog or marine layer either. So, if we're lucky, the stain is cured and happy, and ready for the rains to come starting tomorrow.

Then we decided to deadhead the Rhodie border. We do it after every year's show. Lots of people come by every Spring just to see it. It is so beautiful, but doesn't last very long. We think that the deadheading actually makes the Rhodies bloom even more. We must be crazy. It takes the two of us 16 + hours to get the job done. A couple of neighbors joined in. That really helped.

I'm going to rest up tomorrow! Maybe even the day after tomorrow.
