MEXICAN PIZZA RECIPE (Something I totally just made up off top of my head)

Saturday, May 19, 2012

MEXICAN PIZZA:

INGREDIENTS:

1 Med. Green Bell Pepper, diced, 1 serving
Cheese - Kraft 2% Shredded Sharp Cheddar, 1 cup
MAMA MARY'S THIN AND CRISPY PIZZA CRUST)
Refried Beans, Vegetarian, Taco Bell, 3/4 of the can
Italian Sausage Johnsonville Ground Sausage 6 oz

Preheat oven to 450. The pizza crust package says to turn it down to 425 but I can't do that on my oven once its preheated to a certain degree so I just cook it at 450 and it turns out fine.

Spray pizza crust with extra virgin olive oil. I don't have any so I just spray it with cooking spray. Yes, I know it sounds weird but it works.

Layer pizza crust with the refried beans. Then add the cheese, crumble up the sausage and add next. Then the final step is added the diced up green pepper. I then sprinkled on some pizza seasoning I had. I didn't measure it, just eye balled it and didn't add it into the calorie count.

Once your pizza is made up all pretty cook it for 12 minutes at 450 degrees. The package says 7 to 10 minutes but the first time I cooked one at that time frame and I felt like it wasn't done completely.

This sounds great! Of course, I could not have the sausage, but yum. I know that the beans do have potassium--I just don't know how much!
