New plan for this week

Saturday, May 19, 2012

So I woke up sick on Thursday and by Friday I was BAD!

Went to the doctor and I have severe bronchitis and a sinus infection. My body is only taking in about half the oxygen it needs. So needless to say no camping trip for me. Hubby took the kids last night, the trip was scheduled for the whole weekend but they're only staying until Saturday night. Doctor gave me strong antibiotics and steriods, I really don't like steriods but I saw the pictures and my poor bronchial tubes are so swollen. Plus I have a steriodal inhaler and regular inhaler. I have everything set up on my little coffee table and it looks like a pharmacy.

I'm greatful hubby took the kids so I could really rest, but I have to admit I miss them. I miss the noise, activity and energy. But considering I woke up this morning and I do feel better I know it's necessary.

Doc said very clearly that I am NOT to work out this week, I need to give my chest a chance to heal. So not happy about that, but on the flip side I can take little one to the park on nice days to at least get some fresh air. I'm going to have to go slowly back into my routine which will be difficult. I have very little patience and when I feel better I have a habit of jumping right in. I know hubby will help with keeping me contained (he nags like my mother) but I will have to remember.

Anyway to summerize: very sick, on the road to recovery, bored out of my gord but will go slow in getting back into the swing.

Give your body time to rest and fight the infection. Enjoy the extra time with your little one and you will enjoy the workout even better when you are able to go again.
I wish you speed recovery and patient to go slowly back to the gym.
