On May 17th I attended my pinning ceremony for my Associates degree
I decided to go back to college Fall 2010 to get my Associates in Health Information Technology. I had just finished my Medical Billing certificate and decided now was the time for me to go back and finish what I started back in 1999. As someone with a full time, Mon-Fri 8-4 job, I knew it wasn't going to be easy, but I was ready for the challenge.
In my two years back in school, I managed to keep my GPA over 3.2 every semester, even landed on the Dean's List one semester with my 3.6 GPA. I was accepted into the Honor Society. I kicked some college a$$.
I loved being back in school and learning and I've decided to continue with my schooling. I've been accepted into the Bachelor's program I wanted, though I am considering working on a certificate program first for a health registry job I would love. Not a step in a new direction, just another way to travel along. Needless to say...I'm stoked
I'm Leanne and I'm a proud holder of an Associates degree in Health Information Technology and I'm now ready to kick some career a$$.
Plus I looked cute at the ceremony
