I think it was probably going too long between breakfast and lunch. It's tough on yoga days because the class is at noon. I should probably have a snack somewhere around 10, but I didn't. Last week, I had a protein shake closer to 11 and pretty much burped the whole class, though discreetly, I hope. I need to address this indigestion kind of thing. Maybe I need more probiotics and/or enzymes and maybe I need to up the stomach acid with some betaine HCl. Seems it diminishes a lot with age. Need to experiment.
I left early for yoga in order to do a little recumbent biking beforehand. Decided to do some high intensity interval training, so it was a pretty short amount of time. Never stopped sweating through yoga and it was fairly intensive for a stretch class. Enough with the lunges, already! They do not make my knees happy.
So when I got home I scarfed down some food including a small amount of leftover mashed potatoes. Hey, I worked out and needed to replenish...something. I was just totally exhausted all afternoon and not happily anticipating taking Jason to his music lesson and the Student Appreciation thingy beforehand at which I ate some really evil things, mostly a couple of hot dogs complete with buns and some potato chips. Not a good move. Had to stay with him afterwards until mom and dad got back from whatever kind of foster care training session they'd gone to in case they ever get that mythical foster child. I was pretty much OK as long as I didn't have to move--at all.
So today I actually felt pretty well, all things considered. I thought this was odd, considering what I'd eaten. Oh, and there had been a little ice cream in there somewhere, too and nachos of a sort. I really get in trouble when I'm hungry. So I'm not sure what exactly was going on, but I think the long time between meals was mostly to blame. I find I tend to do better with bad food than no food, though of course neither is ideal. I need to plan better!
