emoticon made dinner from scratch for family every night (well, the night we had pasta I did NOT make the pasta, so it wasn't ALL from scratch, but mostly) :D

emoticon didn't follow through on any of my schemes from last week. Way to make an arm's long list of Jeers significantly shorter! *sigh* doesn't make the real list any shorter! :)
emoticon didn't start my day with some formal exercise time (no days - all week!)

emoticon get up every morning, stretch and do something before getting showered and ready for work: walk, yoga, bootcamp dvd: SOMETHING... should be easier to face with no TOM next week.
emoticon bring healthy snacks to work, try to think of unprocessed things (fruit and nuts) OOH, bake those garbanzo beans!
emoticon wash new fabric and create!
emoticon streak the hooping! 10 minutes a day whether I think it's exercise or not, just do it!
emoticon streak the no soda. start now. I can do this. I have coffee, I have tea, I have water, lemons and limes... there's nothing more I need! :D OH, and let it be known that I do not count suds of the beer variety in with pop. I drink beer so rarely, and liquor that I get to keep those outside of my streak, and just track them accordingly :D funny how I don't have a problem with alcohol but I do with pop. grrr.
emoticon marathon clean the house this weekend (it's def. to that point now) and then figure out what's not working about my daily cleaning chart - something useful and not just, I don't wanna. I'm not a teenager and have no mom who's going to do it for me! ...oh wait, I never had that! ha! She told me to do it myself then, too! :D
emoticon refer to this daily to keep it at the fore...

Ok, that's my plan for the week. I'm proud of myself that I didn't do just Schemes like I wanted to. :) My list of Jeers (the real, itemized list) of things that I did not do this week was lengthy. And I was reaching pretty far to get Cheers. Glad it's nearly over, and I'm looking forward to next week!

    Hubby drinks pop and buys pop? Perfect! When you make your own root beer, you'll make mistakes and hubby will drink your mistakes. No ifs, ands, or buts. That will teach him. What a perfect guinea pig!

    Thanks for the support guys :D This week is already working out great. The problem with not buying soda in the first place is:
    1) my hubby drinks it, and if I don't buy it (cause I have done that before) he does.
    2) my boss provides a fully stocked fridge with every kind of soda we could desire.
    My choices are mainly relying on strengthening my will-power, and making sure I have other options besides soda that I LOVE. I do drink all kinds of tea, in the summer it's a bit trickier because I almost never want tea, even iced tea. I have a friend at work who will drink iced tea if I brew a big batch of tea (she'll brew her teas too so we have a wide variety between us). I'm also trying to get the boss to remember to buy La Croix carbonated, flavored waters. He never remembers, and I never remember to bring it in to work. :) So there we are. I'm working on it though. :)

    The trick is don't rely on will power alone. That's a hit and miss proposition. Develop something you like that will take place of soda. Before my ginger ale, I was drinking Indian tea/Green tea combo. Indian tea, they grind up tea into powder. Green tea I got from Asian grocery. I bought the bulk pack and used those with bulk green tea. Make in quantity so you never run out and never have to buy soda. Once bought, you're dead. You'll drink it. No amount of will power can overcome that. Good luck.

    Your plans are solid. You need to find exercises that are fun or productive. I count the heavy cleaning and gardening as fitness minutes and it's helped my attitude about that time considerably. Make it a great weekend!

    I so feel you on the cleaning! It's not like it's hard and it usually makes me feel so GOOD to have a clean house so why do we put it off???

    Screw the exercise. Just remove the couch. No one in the house will be sitting and watching TV. Everybody will be on their feet if they want to watch TV. Otherwise, move around, do something, no sitting, house work is a great non-exercise activity.
