Baby steps are better than no steps...

So I am certainly no baby and getting further from that every day; but I certainly have been a baby about my journey into healthy living since my surgery. I know I am more than strong enough just to do some walks and other exercises but here's the thing...I don't like going back to where I was before and feeling like I am starting over! So this is me being a baby and internally whining.
Seriously, I am only hurting myself and I am not happy about it.
So I have decided to do some baby steps and just forget that I was doing much better a while ago as well as not be afraid to be uncomfortable.
I am not alone here knowing I would like to find the easy way, the perfect way, the one path to take to show I am not a failure.
I just will set some small goals that are attainable and move on from there. Hmmm, where have I heard that before??? emoticon

Hmm...just a thought, but I wonder if tackling something new, not something you've done before, might be more inspiring than to travel down precisely the same path...? After all, with fitness there are SO many options!

Great to hear you're pulling for yourself! You are WORTH IT! :-)

I had surgery and couldn't do my weight lifting or yoga for 6 weeks. When I went back to the gym, it was a little like starting over, but after 3 weeks, I'm making progress again and I feel good.

You are doing the right thing. Sometimes we just need a push to get started. Good luck.

I, too, need to set tiny goals. I know that exercise isn't a problem for me, it is the eating right and the right portions. So, I will follow your attainable goals and set a baby step, one at a time, and maybe I will see lasting results.
