I am having to eat a Clif bar Oatmeal raisin and walnut cookie to satisfy the craving you have given me. Am sure yours are better though. Yummy.!!!!

Oatmeal cookies are one of the few cookies I make all year~ not just holidays. My daughter & hubby don't like raisins, so I leave them out.
I use the recipe on the lid of the Quaker Old Fashioned Oatmeal~yumm!

One cookie? That's it? Haha, good job. I enjoy making them more than eating them. Ok maybe that's not true. But I really like baking and giving them to others to enjoy.

What about the dough? Did you try some of it? Oatmeal cookie dough is my favorite.

Since you are a cookie baking expert, maybe you could help me.
There is a lady at church who does not share her recipes. She makes the most amazing bar cookie I have ever had. It has a shortbread layer, then a chocolate layer (almost like melted chocolate chips or Hershey bar) then another shortbread layer on top. She calls them candy bar cookies. I've searched the internet & can't find a recipe that is anything like it. Do you have any ideas of where I could find a recipe?
I may just have to start expeirimenting & come up with my own. This lady is moving to KY in a couple of weeks. I'm hoping she'll makes these one more time before she's gone!

I'm surprised there were shy left to take to work! Course I would've subbed chocolate chips for the raisins . . . or maybe in addition to . . . actually lately I've been using dark chocolate covered raisins if a recipe calls for raisins . . .

They may be old fashioned, but they will never go out of style.
Can't wait for your next cookie blog :)

Those look excellent. I think oatmeal cookies with raisins and chocolate chips are my favorite. I made some ginger molasses last weekend and have done a pretty good job eating one a day. Maybe theres hope for me:-)

Whenever I see a blog of yours, I prepare my taste buds before I open the blog and make sure that they know that this is just going to be a
picture of yummy stuff. NOT a suggestion
to run out and get some.

My favorite cookies. My husband's oatmeal cookies are in demand for every potluck we go to. He uses the recipe from the Quaker Oats box, but substitutes homemade apple sauce for half of the oil in the recipe. Yours look yummy too.
