surgery is behind me !!!!

Two days ago I finally has long needed surgery in the joint of my big toe, where it attaches to my foot. They were able to do the 'lesser' surgery so I should regain full motion and be able to walk/run/lunge pain free. I am counting on it as while waiting and fretting over this surgery I have gained over 10 pounds. No excuses. Just ate myself crazy and can't even fit in the shorts I bought to get on over my cast/shoe/boot.

So it is time to get my self back on track with the eating. And then, when allowed, get my butt back to exercise.

Pain was worse than I expected but is way better now. I am doing everything the doc least as I remember. LOL when in doubt, I don't do it.

I should have additional motivation this time, as I have a class reunion later in the summer. I need my spark friends' help.

    Hi Sherry, wasn't sure what kind of surgery you had-so wanted to check in. I can relate-had total knee replacement 18 months ago and then back surgery 8 months ago. They claim ortho surgery is the most painful-and I would agree. Take care-and then maybe you can dance down with Richard!

    Dear Sherry,

    Hope your toe gets well and you would be able to move perfectly! about surgery and all the stress that comes with it, that could cause weight gain and not to mention the pain killers that they may have put you on. Pain meds cause weight gain too.

    For now, you may consider exercises that do not put stress on your legs, like upper body exercise.
