thinking about non weight loss progress

Thursday, May 17, 2012

I was trying to think of things I've accomplished that aren't related to losing weight. I've lost ten pounds, and pretty much have stayed there, but I've accomplished other stuff, which is why I haven't lost all hope and eaten an entire bakery. :D

So far:
-I've completely ditched soda. I used to drink 3 cokes a day, then a year ago got down to one a day, and now I'll have one like, once a month, if that. I think I've had maybe 3 cokes since January. Since I'm allergic to artificial sweeteners, diet coke was never an option, so I'm really proud of myself for this.

-I can walk around my entire neighborhood and not want to die some days. I used to get really tired after one street, but I walked the dog the other day and made it around the whole neighborhood without wanted to die. I still have tons of fatigue issues, but when I'm not tired, I'm in slightly better shape than I used to be!

-I've kept off those ten pounds! I've had some setbacks, but I always settle back down into the ten pounds gone territory, even after abdominal surgery! That's something.

-I take a multi vitamin, calcium, and omega 3 vitamins every single day, and have for almost 4 months!

So yeah, I haven't lost what I wanted yet, but I'm kinda making progress.

Developing healthy habits is totally the goal. Good job you for maintaining! That's hard all by itself (especially with abdominal surgery!)
