Today I feel great!

Wednesday, May 16, 2012

I worked in the yard and garden for 2 hours, perfect timing too, because it is pouring rain now and windier than heck! Good thing I didn't plant anything yet, the wind would have ripped everything out......phew. Everything is cultivated and weeded and raked and ready for seeding now. Of course, I'm not quite sure if I will plant on the long weekend or not. It seems that every year for the past 20 years I plant on that weekend and 8 out of 10 times it snows the week after. Now you understand my dilemma. It seems like a pretty logical answer is staring me right in the face, but it's tradition to plant on the long weekend....perhaps this could be the time for some more life changes.....hmmmm, something to think about. Our gardening season is so short that we all rush out to get in as much growing done as possible, however snow and hail storms wipe out gardens quite consistently and then you get to start all over. Sometimes that can be half the fun though.

Have a great evening everyone and a great morning too!

Isn't it fun to watch things grow? I love working in the garden! I planted part of my vegetables last weekend. It froze the night after I planted, and then got up to 90 the next day. Just had to I'll be planting again too. Have fun!

Congrats on getting things ready. I always rush my planting too. So far I have never lost anything I couldn't replace the next weekend!

Great job and enjoy your garden.
