chugging along...

Wednesday, May 16, 2012

Well, since my last update, we've further settled into a good solid routine. My work schedule seems to have settled into closing pretty much every night that I work. I'm honestly not upset about it because it means that I usually know when I'll be working! It's a lot easier to plan around the work schedule.

My husband is sharing a place (part of the week) with our oldest daughter. It's quite near his workplace so I no longer have to split my nightly sleep. Yay!! He goes up there on Sunday night and comes home on Thursday evening. It works out pretty well, for the most part, and even with the expense of sharing rent and utilities, it is a savings over the amount of money we were putting into his gas tank to drive the hour and a half to get to work then back home again for a total of 3 hours on the road a day. It's much less stressful for both of us.

I'm running regularly again but I tried to increase my mileage too quickly and was wearing myself out. I have decided to keep my mileage steady for a couple of weeks or so and split it out into 4 runs a week instead of just 3. So far, in this first week, I'm enjoying the change and feel more rested already. I just tried to push hard to get back to where I was before I got the shingles. I've realized that being able to run is more important than fretting over lost ground. I'll eventually get back there.

The kids will be done with school in about a month and they are suffering from a serious case of spring fever! Getting them to do their work can be like pulling teeth lately. A lot of it is due to the weather being so nice and them wanting to get outside! I can't say I blame them, honestly!!! emoticon

Goals for May: (been working on these all month)

1) Log food 3 days per week.
2) Spring into Shape Bootcamp
3) Log in to Spark every day

Anyway, I hope y'all are having a great spring!

Be blessed!

Less stressful until I have to do all the stuff I'm used to having you take care of for me! emoticon At least with this job I get to spend weekends at home rather than being gone months at a time...
