It is finished!

Sunday was graduation day. It's hard to believe that after 3 1/2 years, my classes are finished. I keep finding myself wondering what assignments I have to work on and then it hits me. :)

So now, there's one less excuse. No, it doesn't free up vast amounts of time, because mostly I just wasn't sleeping enough. But it does help.

I've been getting to sleep earlier and my body is finally adjusting. I'm falling asleep quickly instead of laying there for an hour. Now, it's probably time to look at the next habit... exercise.

A gym isn't an option. There are more important things to put that money toward. And I don't have the room (or money) for any big equipment at home. We don't have sidewalks on our road, so walking, running, or jogging are hard options, especially with working and the girls. So DVDs are the best option right now. And I have several of those already. A few have even been opened. :) And I do work in a library, so I have access to lots of others. I'm a spurty exerciser, though. I'll do things for a few days or even weeks consistently and then crash. So consistency is what I really need to work on.

Since I want it to be a routine, I'm going to start small. 15 minutes a day, 5 days a week. I'm also going to recommit to my team challenges. I've gotten lazy about completing the weekly challenges. Why only 5 days, you ask? Because I know me. I know that 5 days will be hard. I'm not setting myself up to fail right away. Next week, I'll look at how I've done and add to it.

    Congratulations Holly! Awesome job! The funny thing about time is that when one thing goes away the free time is soon replaced with other things. Hopefully you can replace some of it with consistent exercise and sleep. :-) Sounds like you have a plan.

Congrats to you Holly!!!! You did it!!!

I love how you are planning now on getting in that exercise but also being realistic about knowing what you will do. Have you tried the Biggest Loser Walking video? Maybe you have it at the library. It is great because it is not long and you chose how long you want to walk but it is a great workout too! Good luck and Congrats!!

    First of all, CONGRATULATIONS on graduation!! Yes, that is a HUUUUUGE relief! I've been very successful before (lost 100 lbs, but ended up gaining 85 back, and now have lost 40+ again) completely on DVD's at home. I love them! The great thing, is you can switch it up when you get "spurty" :-)

I love how you "know you" and set a realistic goal! So many times, we see people fail because they set their expectations way too high. You are doing it perfectly! Get yourself in the habit, then you can increase it as you wish.

You have a great attitude! :-)
