A month of SP later

I realized it this morning - I subscribed here on April 15th, and today is May 15th. Which means it's been one month already!
Thanks to SparkPeople and the motivation it gave me (and really great advices for food) I lost 5.5 pounds in this month. Which is GREAT! When I subscribed I was right in a plateau. I hadn't lost anything in two weeks and I was getting really stressed out about it. Making a page and meeting new people here is the best thing that could happen to me.
I met a lot of people from a lot of places. I've developed new friendships with people who have the same goals, others who don't. For some it's losing weight, for others it's because they're vegan. I discovered a whole beautiful community that I'm so proud to be part of.
But the thing I love the most about SparkPeople is the resources. Whenever I'm feeling sad or frustrated about my weight loss I come here, read success stories, my friends' blogs and interesting articles. I love the nutrition articles page and I can lurk there for hours, reading everything. There are so many videos, so many tips, so many advices. FOR FREE. And I'm never bored when I'm online here. There's always something.
SparkPeople helped me set goals for myself - a lot of different goals, not only "lose 30 pounds". It teached me to feel better about myself and to make changes in my life that would (and did) help me lose weight. I've found nothing but love, friendship, advices, support and awesomeness here.
I can't even begin to explain how I love you guys, and how I love it here. I log in everyday. My favorite part is reading the blogs. I love to know how you're doing, what you're struggling with and how you deal with stress, what you're eating and how good you're all doing. Your progress, your motivation, your thoughts.
A month already and it's only the beginning. I feel like I'm gonna stick around for a long, long while!
